Licensed Massage Therapist Deep Tissue & Lymphatic Massage

Amani Body • Mind • Skin is a luxury med spa and wellness destination in Old Town Alexandria. We are seeking an experienced, professional, and client-focused Licensed Massage Therapist to join our growing team.
We are looking for someone who combines excellent therapeutic technique with a warm, elevated client experience. The ideal candidate is experienced in traditional massage therapy and has additional training or experience in lymphatic drainage massage and deep tissue massage.
What You'll Do
- Provide customized therapeutic and relaxation massage services
- Perform deep tissue massage
- Perform lymphatic drainage massage
- Provide Swedish/relaxation massage
- Assess each client's concerns, pressure preferences, and wellness goals
- Modify treatments appropriately based on client needs and contraindications
- Educate clients on appropriate aftercare and ongoing wellness
- Maintain accurate client documentation when required
- Maintain a clean, calming, organized treatment room
- Follow infection-control, sanitation, privacy, and safety standards
- Help create the warm, attentive, luxury experience that defines Amani
- Build lasting client relationships and encourage appropriate rebooking
What We're Looking For
- Current Virginia Massage Therapist license required
- Minimum 2+ years of professional massage experience preferred
- Experience with deep tissue massage required
- Experience or specialized training in lymphatic drainage massage strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of anatomy, contraindications, and client safety
- Excellent hands-on technique and ability to customize pressure
- Professional, polished, dependable, and compassionate
- Excellent communication and customer-service skills
- Comfortable working in a luxury med spa/wellness environment
- Ability to work collaboratively with estheticians and medical/wellness providers
- Weekend and/or evening availability is a plus
Amani Would Especially Love Someone With
Training or experience in manual lymphatic drainage (MLD), prenatal/postpartum massage, or post-procedure lymphatic massage would be highly valued. If you intend to offer post-surgical lymphatic work, I would specifically seek someone with documented advanced training in that area rather than assuming general massage or MLD experience covers it.
